With the success of the new fresh version of the Generation Game, the BBC has been quick to follow it up by announcing that Supermarket Sweep will be making a return to our screens.
But in an explosive twist, the contestants will be replaced by real-life criminals, who will be given a certain amount of time to take as much as they can from a supermarket before police dogs are released in pursuit.
Dale Winton will return to present and cannot wait to oversee the mayhem.
“The stakes and the steaks are just so much higher,” exclaimed a gleeful Winton.
“It will be really tactical. Sure, everybody wants to take as much as possible from the whisky counter, but it could really slow those thieves down, which you don’t want when you are being pursued by eight rabid Alsatians!”
