Robert Mugabe has filled in a job application form to become an Uber driver after he was toppled from power during a military coup in Zimbabwe.

The ex-President is rumoured to have over $1 billion in assets but the majority are invested outside Zimbabwe.

Mugabe considered his options for staying in the country and decided that working for the lift-sharing company was the best choice for a new career.

“I know this country like the back of my hand,” explained Mugabe.

“If any customer needs medical attention, I know the quickest route to the airport.”

Mugabe’s wife Grace is helping out with the family business by renting several of Mugabe’s properties on Airbnb.

“All of our rentals will have clean sheets and working plug sockets,” explained the former First Lady.

“But the penalty for late check-out is death.”
