Queen Elizabeth II has told Theresa May that she is worried about the safety of her cat when President Trump arrives on this year’s scheduled state visit.

She has heard that Trump has a tendency to grab pets and she is concerned that her cat, Mittens, will not be able to protect herself.

“The Corgis will be fine,” said the Queen.

“They can look after themselves but Mittens is much more vulnerable.”

Buckingham Palace officials have assured her that they will make sure that President Trump is never alone in the room with her cat.

However, Theresa May told a Cabinet Minister, who didn’t want to be named, that Mittens might just have to take one for the team.
