In a revealing interview with Property Weekly magazine, No. 32 Philpot Avenue, Wimbledon boasted about earning far more money than its owner.

“Yeah, it’s a nice little set up; when you’re your own boss like me, you can sit back and watch the money roll in,” said the house.

Chris Greenstone, the owner of the house who works at a market research agency and part-time as a waiter, explained his position.

“I like my house but I do get frustrated,” said Greenstone.

“He just sits there and rakes it in. I work 60 hours a week at two jobs and he still earns more than me.”

The house was unsympathetic.

“I earned 50 grand last year and I didn’t lift a finger,” said the house.

“Chris is a melt…whinging little mug.”
