Jeremy Corbyn has clarified the Labour Party’s position on Brexit by announcing that he is “definitely, probably, maybe in favour of staying in ‘a’ single market but not necessarily ‘the’ single market.”
“I had my fingers crossed behind my back when I said it, so it doesn’t really count,” said the Labour leader
“They’re all capitalists in the EU but John McDonnell tells me that we do a lot of trade with Europe so it’s a bit tricky to know what to do for the best.
Corbyn explained that the EU situation has even affected his clothing choices.
“I wear my ‘All I want for Christmas is EU’ T-Shirt during the week and then my ‘Brexit means Brexit’ one at weekends,” revealed Corbyn.
“It’s important to be even-handed.
“Nothing is agreed until everything is agreed.
“I’ll just be glad when all this Brexit stuff is over and I can get back to Glastonbury.”
