For the past few years, Tiger Woods has received heavy bets from punters who are convinced that he can recapture the old magic and win The Masters.
This year has been no different, with gamblers putting some serious money on Woods despite the fact that he isn’t actually playing in the tournament.
“This is Tiger’s year,” exclaimed Kevin Sanchez, a golf fan and gambling enthusiast.
“I’ve been putting 50 dollars on him for the past five years and this year I got 200-1!
“200-1, with his pedigree? I mean, are you kidding me? Money in the bank!”
Sanchez wasn’t deterred when informed that Woods wasn’t playing in the tournament.
“That’s just what they’re saying. It will be just like when the Hardy Boys showed up unexpectedly at WrestleMania.”
Woods himself wouldn’t rule it out.
“I’ve probably got as much chance this year as I’ve had in the past 10 years,” said the four-times winner.
