After the announcement that the King of Saudi Arabia has finally allowed women to drive, a study has confirmed that the Sharia law-run country is more progressive than Uber.
Uber has recently had its licence revoked in London, due in part to its allegedly misogynistic attitude.
Feminists across the world celebrated on Tuesday night as King Salman allowed his female subjects to apply for driving licences, citing a study by leading feminist Katniss Brown that claims that Saudi Arabia is “far more progressive” than Uber.
“This is a massive step towards gender equality in a truly progressive country,” stated Brown.
“If they’re not careful, tech giants like Uber are going be stuck in the dark ages.”
Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi was typically defiant.
“We were going to open up a new Uber branch in Saudi Arabia but now they’re letting women drive, we’re not so sure,” said Khosrowshahi.
“There have to be some rules.”
