Nigel Farage is to star as Mr Toad in the London Palladium’s production of Wind in the Willows this Christmas, it has been announced.
With time on his hands having helped to deliver Brexit, the former UKIP leader had a choice between helping Donald Trump sort out the problems in the Middle East or starring in a West End pantomime.
He chose Toad.
The character of Toad is described as resourceful, narcissistic and completely lacking in common sense.
“I think I’m ideally suited for the part,” said Farage.
Another Brexit leader, Michael Gove, is considering appearing as Gollum in the Lyceum Theatre’s production of Lord of the Rings.
