Displaying staunch commitment to the Brexit cause as well as a strong anti-immigration stance, Nigel Farage has suggested that his German wife should leave the country.
This news comes hot on the heels of the Home Office’s decision to tell a Dutch woman who has lived in the UK for 24 years that she should “make preparations to leave” the UK.
Concurring with this sentiment, Farage has put aside his personal interests and asked Kirsten Farage to go back to where she came from.
“I’m pretty sure she has the right to live and work in the UK,” conceded Farage, “but we can’t find any papers showing it, so back off to Germany she must go.
“By working as my secretary, she is taking one of the most coveted roles in the country. And it should go to somebody British. Anybody British, really.”
Farage was reportedly hopeful of seeing his wife again during a proposed ‘lads trip’ to Oktoberfest with his good friend Donald Trump.
