The NFL has announced a new ticket option for fans interested in protesting against players who take to one knee during the national anthem in order to draw attention to racial injustice and violence against black Americans.
The new pricing system is in response to a surge of interest in fans wishing to attend only for the national anthem and to then dramatically leave the stadium.
“I’m glad the NFL has listened to us,” explained one fan.
“We are a growing fan group and we think it is unfair that we should have to pay the same price as those who get to watch the full game.”
The NFL has made a statement saying that it prides itself on being responsive to changing consumer behavior.
‘Protest Season Tickets’ start at $3000 for the year and includes access to all games for a maximum of 8 minutes.
PST holders will have access to a special parking lot where they will be able to leave their cars running and also have the opportunity to be entered into a weekly competition for the most dramatic walkouts.
“It’s got nothing to do with racism,” said another fan.
“It’s about black people not doing as they’re told.”
