Joseph Fiennes has landed the role of a lifetime after being cast as Barack Obama in a Sky Arts biopic about the 44th President of the United States.
The British actor recently made headlines with his portrayal of Michael Jackson in an episode of Sky Arts’ Urban Myths, which was subsequently banned after a wave of criticism.
“I deal in imagination, so I don’t think imagination should have rules stamped on them,” stated Fiennes.
Fiennes is much more positive about this latest project and has even suggested an appropriate actress to portray Barack’s wife, Michelle Obama.
“I think Keira Knightley would nail it.”
After it was suggested that the role of the First Lady should go to an American, Fiennes responded, “Good point. How about Jared Leto?”
