Jennifer Lawrence landed herself in more hot water this week after revealing that she once used a Hawaiian lei as toilet paper.
The highest-paid actress in the world appeared on The Graham Norton Show last Friday, where she joked about using sacred rocks for “butt-scratching” whilst filming The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in Hawaii.
Lawrence later admitted using the traditional garland to clean herself up after being caught short in a forest.
“A gal’s gotta go when a gal’s gotta go, right? Surely you can relate!”
Whilst the Oscar winner thought that the comments made her come across as “self-deprecating”, many considered her anecdote to be culturally insensitive and incredibly distasteful, forcing Lawrence to make a public apology via her Facebook page.
“I’m deeply sorry if you found anything offensive about me wiping my ass with a symbol of your culture.”
