Donald Trump has stated that he will divide his time in office between the White House and his Manhattan apartment, while renting out the second-floor President’s bedroom to temporary lodgers using the travel app Airbnb.
“I’ve made no secret of the fact that I’m a businessman first, President second. I see opportunity everywhere.”
Andrew Pierson, a second-year law student at Georgetown University agrees that this would be a very savvy move on the President elect’s part, “When I stay over at my girlfriend’s place in North Arlington, I use Airbnb. 60 bucks, bam! Straight into my account. Trump’s no fool.”
Trump has also asserted that he won’t be pulling the $400K Presidential salary.
“I’m not going to be as financially comfortable as my predecessors. I’ll have to use other means to make ends meet.”
He’s also suggested using the Presidential motorcade as a fleet of Ubers when not in use.
