The Beatles are to reform in 2017 with Sting and Bono taking the places of John Lennon and George Harrison, it has been announced.
“The wedding market is huge,” gushed Sting. “Couples would pay millions of dollars to have the Beatles sing at their reception.”
In 2016, Sting performed at the lavish Moscow wedding of the son of oil and media billionaire Mikhail Gutseriev.
“It was a decent fee but I could have got twice as much if the Beatles had been performing.”
Ringo Starr was also enthusiastic.
“It’s what John would have wanted.”
Bono was reportedly concerned about the tax arrangements of forming the supergroup but reasoned, “All you need is love. Let’s do it!”
